Hey I don't know how but at pspupdates.com they have the 2.0 upgrage and I have it now. My psp is from the U.S too. so there you go
This is the JAP 2.0 upgrade. While it does work on US PSPs, it voids your warranty and is not intended for the US market. An updated version is expected this week from Sony USA, but as yet has not materialised.
