Official Homebrew Dev Kit?

- A Canadian company to is set to offer UMD movie rentals for the PSP. With a bit of luck this will hit the States soon. NetFlix would be even better if you had the option of UMD's!
- Rumour is spreading of a possible Official Homebrew Dev Kit after someone in Sony sent a reply to a question by email.

WiFi Tests and EU Launch Details Confirmed

- Some crazy guys test out the PSP and Nintendo DS wireless capabilities under varying conditions... including jumping out of an airplane. Check out the video (DivX and BitTorrent required.)
- The UK PSP launch seems to be confirmed now. 1st September, £179, or €249.

More Wipeout Browser Hacks

- More hacks from the Engadget contest have emerged. All have just been re-uses of the WipeOut browser though. Hopefully the release of the offical Network Utility Disc with the real browser on it will allow for something a little more interesting.

European PSP Release Date Slip

- The Register is reporting that apparently the PSP launch date for Europe was June 24th at the last check, but there are now rumblings of a further slip, this time into August! Many stores in the UK, such as Dixons and Game, have been letting slip their thoughts.
- It didn't take long. Porn on the PSP! And not just on people's Memory Sticks from the Internet. Playboy have announced they will be releasing UMD's with both Nude and Non-Nude content in the near future.

Network Utility Disc Preview

- Check out this preview of the upcoming Network Utility Disc for the PSP from Sony. Looks like there will be a few apps on this UMD, including a web browser, a fully featured media player and an eBook reader. You can also check out PSP-Club, which seems to be the Official Portal for the browser and a place to download media content, including eBooks, Cartoons and Games.
- Engadget have been hosting a Hacking Contest for the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS. If you know of a new hack, send it in soon, the contest is nearly over!
